Phius Retrofit Summit 2023, Virtual, March 21-23, 4-6 pm
Event Description
The next frontier for fostering a built environment that supports the health of people and planet is efficiently upgrading the existing building stock. The virtual Phius Retrofit Summit 2023 (March 21 & 23) will tackle this multifaceted challenge by looking at both the present and future of high-performance retrofits.
Day one of the online event (March 21) will feature a panel of practitioners who have each completed successful Phius retrofits. They will share the strategies and techniques they implemented on their retrofit projects, and audience members will have an opportunity to ask them questions during a Q&A session.
Day two (March 23), will focus on the future of retrofits, as several members of the Phius technical staff will provide an inside look at the new Phius REVIVE retrofit standard that is currently under development. The standard (scheduled for testing this year and tentatively scheduled for launch in 2024) employs a “mass customization” strategy rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, making it well equipped for widespread adoption. Attendees will also learn all about the newly developed ADORB cost for carbon accounting – a critical aspect of any retrofit project, especially when implementing on a large scale.
Creating a replicable model for deep energy retrofits is no small undertaking, but by building on existing strategies and implementing a sound framework, it is possible.
