USGBC Minnesota Program Ideas Lunch, August 22, Minneapolis, MN
Event Description
Join USGBC MN at the Program Ideas Lunch on August 22nd at 11:30 a.m.
The USGBC Minnesota chapter is taking a fresh approach to programming in 2020 and is excited to share their plans with the public. The chapter hopes to get your ideas to support USGBC as a premier organization for sustainability thought leadership in Minnesota.
As in prior years, USGBC MN is calling on the most knowledgeable and energetic leaders engaged in the green building market to help develop ideas for the 2020 USGBC MN education programs. These ideas will help to shape the 2020 programming that will educate hundreds of Minnesotans. Lunch will be provided - you bring the ideas!
The goal of this summit is to generate a list of program topics along with possible speakers. Please come with your ideas on the latest in green building best practices, case studies and tours of local projects.
The theme of our 2020 programming will be: Climate Action
This theme requires the presenters to deliver content and ideas that attendees can take back to their offices and back home and put into action for the health of the environment and climate.
In addition to USGBC MN's year long theme, each quarter they will focus their programming around a different sustainability topic area. Every program should relate to the appropriate quarterly program focus area while inspring Climate Action:
Q1: Community and Housing
Q2: Transportation and the Built Environment
Q3: Materials, Waste, and the Circular Economy
Q4: Advocacy and Policy - Your Call to Action!
Program summit attendees should have an interest or expertise in one of the above quarterly topic areas. Attendees will be broken into groups based on quarterly topic areas to ensure a deep dive into the topics and potential speakers.
Suggested (but not limited to) areas of interest:
Design & Construction innovations for all building types
Case Studies
Efficient building performance, retrofits and operations of diverse building types and uses
