Webinar: Heat and Buildings Decarbonisation Seminar, January 11, 10-11 AM EST
Event Description
‘Successful decarbonisation of heat and buildings is going to require changes to almost every existing property in Britain. This in turn will require a conversation with consumers unlike any before, isn’t it about time we got the discussion started?’
In a virtual event organised ahead of the keenly awaited BEIS Heat and Buildings Decarbonisation Strategy, Baxi Heating, part of the BDR Thermea Group invites you to an exclusive event with Minister of State for Business, Energy and Clean Growth the Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP. In addition to discussion of the Government’s priorities and approach for heat decarbonisation, Karen Boswell OBE, Managing Director of Baxi Heating UK and Ireland will update attendees on Baxi Heating's plan to lead a heating revolution.
An expert panel drawn from across the energy sector will discuss what needs to happen next for heat with a particular focus on opening up a conversation with consumers. Confirmed panelists include Emma Pinchbeck, CEO, Energy UK; Ian Rippin, CEO, Microgeneration Certificate Scheme and Mike Thornton, CEO, Energy Saving Trust.
This event comes at a pivotal time. As a step by step plan for heat decarbonisation takes shape, there are high hopes for green economic recovery despite the incredible challenges faced over the last year. History has taught us that great progress can be made through clear purpose, hard work, determination and collaboration – all of which will be needed across the next three decades – and that the responsibility for change lies with us all. Baxi Heating is committed to playing its part in shaping the low carbon future.
Karen Boswell (MD Baxi Heating UK and Ireland)
Emma Pinchbeck (CEO, Energy UK)
Ian Rippin (CEO, Microgeneration Certification Scheme)
