Building Green offers both print and electronic resources to help professionals take an integrated design approach that minimizes ecological impact and maximizes economic performance. Building Green is also the publisher of Environmental Building News.
Canada Green Building Council
The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) accelerates the design and construction of green buildings in Canada. The Council is a broad-based inclusive coalition of representatives from different segments of the design and building industry. The CaGBC is affiliated with the USGBC and is the developer and administrator of LEED Canada.
Global Green
Global Green USA is a national environmental organization addressing what it sees as three of the greatest challenges facing humanity: (1) Stemming global climate change by creating green buildings and cities, (2) Eliminating weapons of mass destruction that threaten lives and the environment, and (3) Providing clean, safe drinking water for the 2.4 billion people who lack access to clean water. Global Green hosts a green building resource center in Santa Monica, California.
Sustainable Buildings Industry Council (SBIC)
The SBIC is an independent, nonprofit organization whose mission is to advance the design, affordability, energy performance, and environmental soundness of America's buildings. The SBIC produces the Whole Building Design Guide, a tool for applying the intergated design approach to building.
USGBC (The US Green Building Council)
The U.S. Green Building Council's core purpose is to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life. 6,000 USGBC member organizations work together to develop a variety of programs and services, and forge strategic alliances with key industry and research organizations and federal, state and local government agencies.
WGBC (The World Green Building Council)
The World Green Building Council (WorldGBC) is working to transform the property industry towards sustainability through its members - national Green Building Councils. The WorldGBC provides a federation "union" of national Green Building Councils whose common goal is the sustainable transformation of the global property industry.
