World Green Building Week - September 24-30

It's Green Building Week September 24th-30th!   This is a time every year when the USGBC, World GBC and partnering chapters and organizations work to promote and really celebrate sustainable building materials, products, companies/organizations - and people - in a way designed to support cooperation and growth in green building generally.  

The campaign's focus this year is on residential green building and change - what steps can each of us take to start or continue  chanigng our habits and reducing the 40% of global energy everyone in a dwelling is consuming.  And those who have figured it all out can help by sharing stories and experiences and helping to educate the rest of us.  According to the WorldGBC, "We can all do our bit, however small  you start.  You can save energy and money, create a healthier space to live in and make the planet a greener, better, safer home for generations to come. It’s easy when you know how.

As a part of World Green Building Week, World GBC will be hosting several webinarrs:

• Creating a healthy & Green Indoor Environment , Wednesday, September 19th, 11:30am-12:30pm
• A Healthy Approach to Certification, Tuesday, September 25, 11:30 am - 12:30pm
• Co-Benefits; Do people and Planet Go Hand in Hand?, October 4th, 1-3 pm

The World GBC's mission?  To create green buildings for everyone, everywhere - enabling people to thrive both today and tomorrow.  Sounds great!
