Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Building Innovation Conference, May 19-21, Virginia
Event Description
There's no other event that brings together this unique set of individuals – from government agencies and AEC industry professionals to researchers, community planners, and innovative thinkers – to improve the built environment. The conference will address strategies for resilient communities with expert-led sessions. Earn AIA LU credits, ICC credits, and certificates of attendance for conference attendance.
About the Building Innovation Conference -
Building Innovation brings together government agencies, contractors, the private sector, architects, scientists, and more to improve the built environment. This year's conference theme is Thrive: Strategies for Resilient Communities. Education sessions will be centered around three main tracks:
Leaders -
Looking beyond buildings to enable community-level resilience. Sessions will focus on developing policy frameworks, strengthening critical infrastructure, incentivizing the investment, and empowering the workforce behind functional recovery.
Practitioners -
Establishing processes for resilient building. Sessions will focus on codes, standards, existing buildings, risk assessment and management, and sustainable design and construction practices.
Technologists -
Highlighting current and emerging technologies for resilient design, construction, and planning. Sessions will focus on technology solutions, materials, use cases, and implementation and adoption.
