Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. DOE Zero Energy Ready Home Program and Beyond: Green Built Alliance Fall 2023 Workshops
This workshop will provide insight into the Department of Energy (DOE) Zero Energy Ready Home Program, representing a whole new level of high-performance homes with rigorous requirements that ensure outstanding levels of energy savings, comfort, health, and durability.
Participants will leave the class with an understanding of the following:
Amy Musser is a co-owner and co-founder of Vandemusser Design, PLLC. The company has been operating in Asheville since 2004, and providing green-building design, consulting and home-energy rating services since 2006. The majority of their clients are general contractors who are building above-code homes certified according to Green Built Homes, Energy Star or LEED for Homes. They also work with homeowners, architects and HVAC installers. Amy Musser has bachelor's and doctoral degrees in architectural engineering, and a master's degree in mechanical engineering, all from The Pennsylvania State University. She is a licensed mechanical engineer in North Carolina and a RESNET-certified Home Energy Rating System (HERS) rater.
Doug Ager
Doug Ager is a lifelong resident of Buncombe County, growing up at Hickory Nut Gap Farm and graduating from both Warren Wilson College and Western Carolina University. After spending years working with his hands as a farrier and carpenter, he co-founded Sugar Hollow Solar in 2012 with a mission to improve how business is done while seeking local solutions to the climate crisis.
