Event Description

Join the Environment Council of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College's Office of Sustainability for the annual Rhode Island Compost Conference & Trade Show. The conference will feature two compost videos — one by students of the Henry Barnard School, and one by Earth Care Farm. Two sessions of workshops will include the following: Healthy Soils, Healthy Seas Rhode Island will discuss composting on Aquidneck Island; SCS Engineers will highlight compost facilities it is developing in New England; Epic Renewal will lead a workshop on urban bokashi composting, and Robert Rafka will discuss the issue of microplastics in compost.
