Environmental Business Council (EBC) Energy and Climate Change Program: New MassDEP Regulations to Reduce Carbon Emissions

The Department of Environmental Protection has proposed regulations to limit Greenhouse Gas Emissions to comply with the Global Warming Solutions Act, in response to the SJC's decision in Kain v. DEP, and in response to Executive Order 569. This EBC Energy and Climate Change Program will examine the two proposed regulations that directly affect the electric power generation sector, namely the proposed cap on greenhouse gas emissions from Massachusetts electric generating units, and the new Clean Energy Standard (CES) regulations.

General Continuing Education Certificates are awarded by the EBC for this program (3.0 training contact hours). If interested in receiving a certificate, select this option during registration.


Speakers will include representatives of DEP, environmental groups, and groups representing electric generators and suppliers.
