Courses Description:
Today we’ll explore the variety of common care environments for the elderly and how low- or no-VOC, durable, high-quality paint – combined with appropriate color – can positively impact the quality of life of these environments. We’ll also discuss how color perception changes with aging or disease.
Learning objectives
1. Discuss the growth of the aging population and the common health problems they face specifically as it relates to vision.
2. Recognize the ways these health problems alter or interfere with color perception.
3. Understand the common care environments for the elderly.
4. Describe the ways color can help facilitate the quality of life, navigation, and orientation for the aging population.
