FREE Webinar - Singapore: Dense and Green Cities: Architecture As Urban Ecosystem, May 5, 6-8 pm (Singapore Standard Time)
Event Description
Welcome to the Dense+Green Cities online presentation and panel discussion, hosted by the National Design Centre, that will explore the interaction between buildings and the city as ecological systems through questions of concept, planning, design, technology and not least experience.
Dense+Green Cities is based on an ongoing research project that was launched at the Singapore-ETH Centre Future Cities Laboratory (FCL) in 2015. FCL was established by ETH Zurich and the National Research Foundation Singapore in collaboration with key academic partners including the Singapore University of Technology and Design in 2010 to study sustainable future cities through science, by design, and in place. The exhibition is supported by DesignSingapore Council and hosted by National Design Centre.
About DesignSingapore Council:
DesignSingapore Council is proud to support this exhibition as part of our organization's efforts to promote design futures content that visualises how our lives may change in light of the rapid acceleration of technology, climate change, aging, and other issues shaping society. As designers are always imagining the future, we believe that introducing their work to the public will add to the current discourse on the future of Singapore. By providing a platform at the National Design Centre for such design futures content, we hope to inspire the public to come together, start conversations and co-create Singapore's future.
