SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT MANAGER, Office of Sustainability (MITOS)

Provide leadership and implementation strategies on sustainable building design and construction, energy, water, stormwater, land management, and waste systems. Will lead the development of and enable the implementation of current and future related sustainability commitments, relevant data management, strategic planning, analysis, and collaborative relationships. Responsibilities include identifying performance metrics; representing MITOS on project teams managed by the Office of the Executive Vice President; creating a robust capacity building process that exposes MIT staff to cutting edge innovative strategies from peer institutions and the private sector; identifying and implementing best practices, enabling a process of continuous learning and improvement, and seeking support/expertise from others in order to enhance and improve MIT’s efforts to become more sustainable; developing reports and presentations; and representing MITOS on MIT/City of Cambridge committees.
