Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. The Building Industry's Role in Social Equity, April 24, Pittsburgh, PA
Event Description
As architects, builders, and developers, what part do we play in creating a city with opportunities for everyone? Join for the first event in Green Building Alliance's Social Equity in the Built Environment series as you explore tools to measure and improve the city’s inequalities. One will gain perspective about how the building industry fits into larger conversations of social justice in the region, and discover frameworks to be more proactive in daily work.
Learning Objectives:
Dr. Generett is an associate professor at Duquesne University’s School of Education and Director of the University Council for Educational Administration Center for Educational Leadership and Social Justice. Dr. Generett’s work focuses on educational leadership and cultural diversity in school systems.
Jenna Cramer
Through her tenure at Green Building Alliance, Jenna has worked to empower individuals and communities to create their own sustainability dialogue. Through her creation of programs like the Inspire Speakers Series and the School Sustainability Culture Program, Jenna introduces ways for community members around the region to define their own future.
Leslie Montgomery
As GBA’s Education Senior Director, Leslie develops meaningful education experiences for GBA’s audiences. Leslie also works to develop our region’s next generation of leaders in green building through her work with the Emerging Professionals Group and the Sustainability Leadership Lab.
