Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. USGBC-NCR Green Affordable Multifamily Construction Educational Panel, July 31, Washington D.C.

USGBC National Capital Chapter is excited to invite you to the Green Affordable Multifamily educational panel.
As density in the built environment continues, growing concerns about gentrification and affordable housing are beginning to bump up against the costs and benefits of green, healthy, and resilient construction. There is no better example of this than the District’s current landscape.
Join USBGC as panelists from the District’s green code team at DCRA, leading affordable housing program Enterprise Green Communities, and seasoned expert in green and multifamily privately developed projects and management from discuss the rewards, challenges, and incentives facing today’s affordable multifamily projects in the district and country at large. Panelists will offer their experience insights and perspectives of the lifecycle of an affordable housing project going green from code, independent building certification, to the stakeholder’s real field experiences and obstacles overcome. Networking with food and beverage will start at 5:30 and we encourage attendees to stick around after presentations for open panel Q&A and discussion. This session is ideal for project teams looking for better insights tackling the complicated and ever-evolving landscape that is the green Multifamily and Affordable Housing market.
