WEBINAR: December First Friday Webinar (USGBC) Materials Transparency & LEED, December 6, 12:15pm EST
Event Description
This dive into the complexity of the three Building Product Disclosure and Optimization credits in LEED version 4 BD+C and ID+C provides the rationale for why product choices are so important, and the details on how to achieve points within the three credits.
Products and materials choices represent a major opportunity to address today’s environmental and health threats. The three Building Product Disclosure and Optimization credits in LEED version 4 BD+C and ID+C are a good place to begin. These credits are new to this version of LEED, and contain many unfamiliar terms, programs and requirements. They offer some LEED points that are relatively easy for most projects, and others that are very challenging. This presentation will walk you through the key things you need to know to pursue these credits, including what criteria products have to meet to comply, and which options within the credits are more or less achievable given the current status of the industry.
