Webinar (with In-Person Option): Building Materials Reuse: From Whole Buildings to Individual Components, April 28, 12pm CT
Event Description
Illinois Green is hosting a 12 PM Webinar and optional Building Tour/Happy Hour Add-On to explore the building/material reuse economy from the perspectives of designers, contractors, and materials retailers. Join to learn how circular economy design strategies, diverting from construction waste streams, and the resulting workforce development implications impact the triple bottom line (profit, people, and planet). Panelists will also explain which reused materials are easiest to implement in design, which ones are easiest to salvage and donate during demolition and construction, and which are the easiest for non-profits to re-sell and keep in the use cycle.
Anne Nicklin, Director of Workforce Training and Deconstruction Services, Rebuilding Exchange
Patty Lloyd, Director of Sustainability, Leopardo Companies, Inc.
Rand Ekman, Chief Sustainability Officer, HKS
