Free Webinar: Lighting Controls Design and Documentation, November 5
Event Description

This class walks you through the control design process and reviews the required documents needed for a successful lighting control project. Lighting designer Yukiko Yoshida and lighting controls specialist Charles Knuffke show how to come up with control intent based on project needs and walk you through documents such as OPR (Owner's Project Requirements), SOO (Sequence of Operations), and all others needed to describe a complete lighting control system. Along the way, they will give examples of what California Energy Code compliance entails. They'll cover how you can communicate with project team members using simple sketches to show intent. They will explain how to create the Construction Documents that are straight-forward and complete.

The objective of this course is that at the conclusion, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate the different control approaches and choose to best support the project
  • Communicate among the project team and understand the proposed control intent
  • Identify the type of information and level of detail required when creating control documents
  • List the set of documents needed for procurement, construction, and installation of lighting controls for a lig
