GPRO For Schools Training, March 20-21, 9am-3pm, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Virtual Option available in October)
Event Description
School facility and custodial staff members are unsung heroes in the quest for healthy and high-performing school buildings that contribute to thriving environments for students. GPRO training for green building operations & maintenance offers practical and affordable strategies to facility and custodial teams in preK-12 schools. This two-day course will help school facility teams identify ways to save energy, water, and money while improving indoor air quality. Content includes information that facility members of any building type will find useful, but this course will include customized information that will be especially relevant to preK-12 school teams.
This course – which focuses on preventive maintenance and data-driven decision-making – not only offers best practices developed by green building and facility experts in the field but also offers an opportunity to share lessons and questions with peers. Many past participants have maintained relationships with their classmates.
The GPRO training was developed by the Urban Green Council and is offered in Western Pennsylvania by Green Building Alliance, whose staff has been teaching the class every year since 2016.
Advanced registration is required. The course is offered on several dates and in different formats to accommodate the busy schedules of participants. While anyone is welcome to register, preference will be given to school communities.
In 2024, GPRO green building operations & maintenance training for preK-12 Schools is being offered on these dates:
