Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. GreenBuilt Home Tour! - July 23-24 From 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
Event Description
The 2016 GreenBuilt Home Tour features exceptional, award-winning, and nationally recognized homes throughout Illinois, which highlight attractive, affordable, and sustainable building practices. During the two day event, attendees will learn the ways the built environment contributes to a healthier community.

July 23 and 24 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Passport tickets admit 2 for unlimited visits to all homes on the tour for the duration of the event. Single home tickets admit 2 to one home on the tour. To purchase your tickets for the 2016 tour by clicking the link below.

The tour includes Illinois’ finest builders, designers and homeowners who have created healthy, energy saving green homes. Together they send a clear message: to reduce our nation’s need to produce energy we must “build it tight and vent it right.”
All homes on the tour are third-party verified (or pending verification) to ensure they are built (or being built) to national standards, earning certification through programs such as: ENERGY STAR for Homes, LEED for Homes, the National Green Building Standard, Zero Energy Ready Home, Illinois GreenStar, and Passive House. Because the homes are built better, they deliver measurable savings, comfort, and health to their owners.
