Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.
Please make sure to be respectful of the organizations and companies, and other Rate It Green members that make up our community. We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.
The opinions, comments, ratings and all content posted by member on the Rate It Green website are the comments and opinions of the individual members who posts them only and do not necessarily reflect the views or policies or policies of Rate It Green. Rate It Green Team Members will monitor posted content for unsuitable content, but we also ask for the participation of community members in helping to keep the site a comfortable and open public forum of ideas. Passive House Massachusetts Monthly Meeting with Dan Roy, PE, December 12, 5:30-9 pm @Northeastern University
Event Description
JOIN Passive House MA for their December monthly meeting centered around high performance buildings along with the opportunity to network with industry professionals, practitioners and students from local universities.
About Passive House Massachusetts:
Using public outreach and education, Passive House Massachusetts seeks to educate the general public about and advance the use of highly energy efficient building construction through the implementation of appropriate standards including, but not limited to, the Passive House standard.
5:30PM-6:30PM : Food and Networking
6:30PM-8:30PM: Monthly Meeting
8:30PM-9:00PM: Closing Remarks and Networking
Featuring Speaker: Dan Roy, PE who will lead a discussion about his personal Passive House, some of the construction & design details, actual energy performance vs predictions and what it’s like to live in a Passive House.
The house has a photovoltaic system that makes it better than Net Zero and the excess power is used to partially pay a relative’s electricity bill. Some design features are ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation), mini splits, heat pump water heater and triple pane windows.
