90+ Organizations Announce MA Power Forward to support and promote Clean Energy Policies for People and Planet

Together with over 90 Founding Partners, Toxics Action Center and Clean Water Action are launching Mass Power Forward, a statewide coalition committed to securing energy policy that supports local renewable energy, keeps energy dollars in our communities, creates green jobs and protects our Commonwealth from climate change and life-threatening pollution.

The campaign supports an energy policy that:

1. Advances Massachusetts toward a safer and healthier economy powered by local, clean, renewable sources, keeping us on track to reduce our climate change pollution by no less than 80% by 2050;

2. Reduces our dependence on polluting energy sources

3. Prioritizes neighborhoods, families and public lands

4. Modernizes our power grid and empowers people to access locally generated power;

5. Assists workers and communities with retiring power plants to participate in the green economy and clean energy transition.
