  • 13 Apr 2016
Event Description

WMGC Green Night Wednesday, April 13 at 5pm
Alex Wilson on Advancing Sustainability and Resilience—and Growing the Economy in the Process

Join WMGC at the Platform Sports Bar for a special evening with Alex Wilson -- one of the foremost leaders in green building and sustainable development. Stay for networking, information sharing, food, drink and green learning. Bring a friend!

Alex will discuss his own trajectory in advancing green building and resilient design regionally and nationally and describe a recently launched initiative to create a "Green Economy Innovation Hub" in the tri-state region centered around Brattleboro, Vermont. The motivation of the Innovation Hub is to replace the 600 well-paying jobs being lost with the closure of the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Plant with jobs in the “green economy” sector.

The Green Economy Innovation Hub launch meeting will be held on April 25 from 3:30 – 6:00 pm at Greenfield Community College.
