3 Day GRIHA V 2015 Training Programme, 20 - 22 Dec, New Delhi, India
Event Description
A three-day training workshop is being organized by GRIHA Council in association with TERI.
The workshop aims at enhancing the knowledge on green buildings and GRIHA rating parameters for building professionals like architects, engineers, developers, policy makers and others.
The faculty for the training programme will be professionals from GRIHA Council as well as other certified GRIHA professionals.
GRIHA is an acronym for Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment. GRIHA is a Sanskrit word meaning – ‘Abode’. Human Habitats (buildings) interact with the environment in various ways. Throughout their life cycles, from construction to operation and then demolition, they consume resources in the form of energy, water, materials, etc. and emit wastes either directly in the form of municipal wastes or indirectly as emissions from electricity generation. GRIHA attempts to minimize a building’s resource consumption, waste generation, and overall ecological impact to within certain nationally acceptable limits / benchmarks.
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) is a leading think tank dedicated to conducting research for sustainable development of India and the Global South.
