Every organization and everyone can submit to Rate It Green's green building calendar! Simply click register, verify your email address, and create a username and password. You can then decide if you'd like to engage more fully as a community member, but you'll be able to post events.

We welcome praise and advice and even criticism but all posted content and ratings should be constructive in nature. For guidance on what constitutes suitable content on the Rate It Green site, please refer to the User Agreement and Site Rules.

Residential Electrification Introduction and Overview, Free & Online, June 18, 10 am - 12 pm PT
Event Description
Residential Electrification is coming to newly constructed homes in California. Step by step communities and codes are promoting the transition from combustion fuels to electricity as the fuel of choice to reduce the impact homes have on climate change.
The material focuses on basic questions that designers, builders, homeowners and other trades persons may have on the transition possibilities. The identifies the Who, What, When Where, Why and How of this oncoming transition.
- Provide a basic understanding of the electrification processes.
- Cover the equipment required to make the transition.
- Cover the impact of building envelope as the transition continues.
- Learning Outcomes:
Confidence in the use of Heat pumps for heating and cooling in the California Climate.
Which available technologies are ready for this transition.
